Holidays when families gather is a perfect time for portraits!
During Christmas the Gorhams’ 3 daughters were in town as well as additional family members. Many pictures were taken including small groups – the parents, the sisters, the aunts, the cousins – and the whole group.
The shoot took place on Christmas eve in beautiful Buddy Attick Park in Greenbelt, MD. Great memories were captured and it was a fun time for all including the photographer.

When is the last time your family gathered for pictures? You should do so soon! Give me a call today and capture great memories!
P.S. You don’t have to wait for the holidays.
Cousins Mike and Janie had the opportunity to dance and enjoy each others’ company at a family event. One lives up north and the other in the south. Many times family only has the chance to get together at funerals or sad occasions. This was at Janie’s brother’s retirement party and a good time was had by all.
I hope your family is dancing!

Photography showcasing the beauty of women with age. Diamonds!!
Some of these women are sisters from church, some I met at various events, some are aunts. Some are friends from the neighborhood. The one on the cover with the black hat is my late mother.
Some are gone all and some are still here to treasure. God bless them all!
Do you have pictures of your diamonds?

Last Saturday I was asked to photograph a ladies event at church. I took advantage of the opportunity to make portraits of some of the attendees.
When I asked my dear Sister McElveen if I could take her picture, she jokingly said she was afraid that she might break my camera. Well, you can see that she came far from breaking the camera and instead gave me some of my favorite images of the day. The images capture her grace and elegance.
Her daughters were also there so of course I asked to take their pictures. I took pictures of each alone with her and then took a picture of the three of them together. I think that it is important to have a picture alone with each of your parents and I always do that during family portraits.
These are images that the family can treasure for years.
